At Seoul Foreign School, the delegation of Monaco collaborates to maintain cohesive stances throughout the committees.
Aidan Kopp, a delegate for the Special Conference Sub-Com 1, is most excited to “interact with delegates of all levels and see generally where [he] fits relative to everyone else.” From writing position papers about Monaco to practicing his POIs during mock debates, he believes he is “fairly prepared and excited for the conference.”
For Clara Chu, a delegate for the Human Rights Council, “Our weekly meetings helped me understand the different THIMUN procedures.” She is “excited for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity when everyone is stepping out of their comfort.”
To help prepare these THIMUN delegates, Eddie Nelson, the President of the school’s MUN club, planned many workshops and assignments with his team. “We’ve worked to give them speech workshops and position paper assignments so that they can best represent their country’s stance,” he said. As the Deputy President of the Security Council for THIMUN, he has been “writing [his] chair report and meeting [his] other chairs” to familiarize the club with the THIMUN schedule and procedures. He is most excited about “trying MUN in a new country,” as THIMUN is his and most of the delegates’ first conference outside of Asia.

International French School (IFS)
At the International French School of Singapore, delegates have been working hard to prepare themselves for the THIMUN 2025 Conference.
One of the delegates, Lillian, who is representing Uganda for HSC, said she has been watching a few documentaries to aid in the formulation of her opening speech and arguments and even learned Dutch on Duolingo.
Meanwhile, Alienor, who is representing Tunisia in EVC2, has been training to talk to a large audience for her speech. All delegates are very enthusiastic about THIMUN as it is the first time IFS MUN students are attending a debate overseas.
We’re all extremely excited to participate!

John Burroughs school (St Louis, Missouri)
At John Burroughs School, located in St. Louis Missouri in the United States, delegates have been rigorously working over the past few months to prepare for the conference. Representing both Cambodia and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), students have engaged in research, participated in mock debates, performed speeches, and collaborated for impactful resolution writing.
Sophie Buchowski, a delegate representing Cambodia, articulates that she “is eager to finally showcase months of hard work and preparation.” She also shares that she is “excited to learn more about Dutch culture, meet people from around the world, and see the World Forum for the first time.” Make sure to say hi to her in HRC Sub-Committee 2.
In another committee, the ICRC, Fawwaz Chohan, a member of HRC Sub-Committee 1, said he “can’t wait to visit the Netherlands for the first time.” He thinks the hardest part of this process so far is thinking of creative solutions; however, he knows it will be a rewarding experience.
The delegates of the John Burroughs School are all very ecstatic for the opportunity to see their hard work and dedication come together for the final product. See you all soon!
